Jasper at 18 months

So all day yesterday I thought it was today that Jasper turned 18 months.  Nope.  Turns out today is the 28th...not the 27th like i thought!  This is the only picture I got of him yesterday.  Not very flattering but pretty typical of the stage he's been going through lately.

Gives hugs.  Throws his arms around our necks.  But he's done about 2 seconds later.
Has a big cheesy grin that scrunches up his nose when we say smile.
Shakes his head for "no" when he's about to touch something he knows he's not supposed to.
Pushes his highchair all around the dining room and playroom.
Is over the moon happy on the days that Sage is home from school.
Goes to bed at 6pm.  Wakes up at 7am.
Naps from 9:30am to 11:30am.  Goes back to crib for playtime from 2:30pm to 3:30pm.  Occasionally will fall asleep again.
Has had one cold after another.  Feels like he's had a runny nose for months.
Still screams like crazy when he's mad.  I think he picks up on all the stress that we've been under these last 8 months.
12 teeth.  4 of them being gigantic molars.
Runs to the patio door as soon as he sees Geoff pull into the driveway.  Stands there laughing until Geoff opens the door.  Then runs in the opposite direction!

Taken just seconds after a huge sneeze all over Daddy's head.  HA!  I love it when these things don't happen to me.  Once, just as Sage was about to get the stomach flu for the first time, she and I were cuddling in my bed and she threw up.  RIGHT INTO MY MOUTH.  So don't feel badly for Geoff getting his head sneezed on.

Not quite big enough.  Jasper desperate to go outside to play in the snow with Sage while Geoff shovels out the driveway.  For the 5th time this year.  He is not impressed.  I think this is the first year since we've been married that he's had to do it more than once.

Sage all dressed up.  Wearing a suit purchased in Germany over 40 years ago by my parents when they were there on vacation.  This was worn by both my older sisters, myself, both my older nieces and now Sage.  When she outgrows it, it will be passed on to our youngest niece Delainey to complete the family saga!  I wonder if my Mom has pictures of the rest of us wearing it...hmm??

This is Geoff's first contribution to Photo of the Day.  He's very proud of it.   He discovered a local company that sells all natural kits to make your own beer.  Now normally, he stays as far away from homemade wine and beer as possible.  Cause honestly, has anyone ever tasted any of that stuff that actually tasted good?  Us either.  This stuff?  Whole different level.  Plus apparently it's fun to make...I'll take his word for it!  This was his first batch...he has big plans for making a bunch of their other flavours.

This was his first bottle.  It must have been a hit because as you can tell, the bottle is empty!

The Brewer's Market.

We all went up to the hospital tonight after Geoff was done work to meet his brother's new baby!  Rex Romeo born on the 16th at 3:26pm weighing exactly 6 pounds.

I love tiny babies.  They stay were you put them!  Ah...those were the good old days.  He's so cute and tiny that it's making me want another one.

Sage has math homework come home every Monday and it has to be back every Thursday.  It consists of a bag with some type of game for us to play with her and a journal that she has to then draw a picture in and write a few lines.

This reads "My Mommy playing was fun.  I liked using real money."  She's a girl of many words but not when it comes to writing!

Made my first ever homemade pizza today!  Tasted great but the crust stuck to the cheapo pan I had.  Definitely want to invest in a good pizza stone.  Can anyone recommend one?

A quiet and tired day at home today.  Sage threw up in the middle of the night...on the one night that she had asked to have a sleepover in Jasper's room!  So of course he woke up while we were trying to clean up the mess.

We blew up balloons today and both the kids had tons of fun throwing them around.

I cannot stop Pinning.  I'm going back through all my inspiration folders on my hard drive and adding them my my Pinterest boards.  Then I'm looking at all the pictures everyone else has posted.  I'm obsessed.  Good thing Sage had a PA Day today cause this has taken up way too much of my time.

The 100th day is here!  Sage kept saying how excited she was to wear her shirt.  I really should craft with that kid more.  I have to force myself...I love scrapbooking but blech, I hate kid crafts.

Went to the old house to pick up our mail tonight and THE cheque was waiting for us.  This should have been one of the most exciting moments of our lives but instead, all it does is fill me with worry and dread about what our future holds.

Thursday will be the 100th day of school for Sage's class so the students were encouraged to wear something with 100 designs on it.  I picked up this shirt for Sage on clearance at Old Navy and a pack of glitter glue.  She was going to decorate it herself but the glitter was very hard to squeeze out so I ended up doing it!

Howdy Jasper.  Mr. Destructo enjoyed dumping out the lego containers today and making a gigantic mess. Oh well...at least it kept him quiet for about 20 minutes!

I love that Geoff is interested in cooking.  Sunday he decided that he wanted Steel Cut Oats for breakfast, and Pioneer Woman's Sour Cream Pancakes for lunch.  He made them both.  I would love it more if he was as interested in cleaning up.  Sigh...

Not sure how much longer I can stand this falling apart rental house kitchen of ours.  I miss this:

We had a completely unexpected snowstorm today.  No warning about it whatsoever.  I kept checking The Weather Network to see what they had to say about it but the site always said that we were getting under 1cm.  Well the 7 inches in my driveway begs to differ!

Poor Geoff had to work out of town today so the 2 hour drive home ended up taking him 4 hours.  I tried shovelling the driveway for him but only got about 6 feet of it done before I thought I was going to die.

Today was Carnival day at Sage's school.  Both Grade 1 French Immersion classes performed a dance to a medley of songs in front of the entire rest of the school!  They looked hilarious.  Jasper didn't have a clue what was going on.  He kept trying to get in on all the action.

We've had french braids in Sage's hair for a couple days so she was so excited to get them taken out this morning so that she could have curly hair!  I used to do this all the time when she was in JK and SK...first time I've done it for her this year.

In other news..Happy 49th Anniversary Mom and Dad!

First snow day!  The buses have been cancelled before but this was the first day of the year that we had so much snow that even Geoff had to stay home.  Took him almost 4 hours just to get the driveway cleared out.  Sage is taking a rest after a long morning of playing.

Me and Jasper.  He's so busy these days that I rarely get a chance to cuddle him anymore.  He hates to sit still.  My cuddly little baby is no longer!
